Short Story

At our Writer's Group this week, one of the 'subjects' was "Write a complete story in no more than 50 words".

Chris Bulmer did just this, and she has graciously given permission for me to reproduce it here.

It would soon be their Anniversary.
She bought him private number plates for his beloved car.
He asked what she would like.
"Anything with diamonds," she replied.
On the day, he gave her a 4 inch by 3 inch, prettily wrapped box.
Inside, was a pack of cards.
