For Janie

A few weeks ago, Chris Bulmer, one of my fellow members of the Bassetlaw Writers' Group, presented a little item from her own hand, one which gave me to think of Janie.

It's a charming little poem which quite tickled my fancy, and I think, may well do the same for you.

So, especially for Janie, with full permission of the Author, here it is.

Diamonds

Little diamonds on my fingers,
Little diamonds in my ears,
Little diamonds round my wrist,
I’ve been collecting them for years.
Little diamonds round my neck
Reflecting light with restrained vigour.
Always bought me little diamonds.
Cheapskate! Buy me something bigger!
