Ahhh! The waiting, the waiting!!!!!

People's Friend accepted a short story, a small article to be exact.

They have paid for it, as they pay on acceptance; I took the cheque to the bank as it was too small to go on its own, and now I'm waiting.

I do not know when it will be published, they have not said, so I'm sat here, sitting with my fingernails chewed down to the quick - when will it be, when, when?????

Oh dear, the pain of it!
